The storm will pass. Be still, and just let God do His thing. That line found people who already speak that language. We won’t fake a denser faith than we mean — and we won’t hide the one we have.

If God isn’t your word, keep the weather. Storms move. You can stand in a doorway and wait. You don’t have to become the lightning.

Stillness isn’t the same as giving up. It’s refusing to make the hour worse with a speech you don’t believe yet.
