The thoughts aren’t the whole truth

The mind will tell a full story from a thin fact. You forgot a text, so you’re unlovable. You woke heavy, so the day is already lost. That voice is quick. It isn’t always wise.

Fog in the valley is real. It isn’t the whole country. The flowers on the hill can see over it. You can too, if you wait, or if you climb one small step.

Not every thought needs an argument. Notice it. Name it: that’s fear talking. That’s shame, old and rehearsed. Then return to one true thing — the chair, the breath, the cup in your hand.

If the thoughts won’t loosen, if they’re telling you to disappear, this page is too small. Go to Help. A person, not a sunset.
