Self Love
You don’t have to be different

We keep asking the sky to stay gold, and it doesn’t. It changes. Still, we don’t scold it for being dusk. We look. We stay. We call it beautiful anyway.
You have been waiting to become easier to love. Quieter. Brighter. Less tired. More like the person you promised last January. That waiting has a cost. You miss the one who is already here.
You don’t have to be different to be worth a kind word. Not from a stranger. Not from the voice in your own kitchen.
If you can offer that to one friend, you already know how. Turn a little of it inward. Same tone. Same patience. No remodeling required before you sit down.
